Description
This live spirulina from Israel is a dense and highly resistant algae strain that was originally brought to Israel from the south of India by the founders of this website. In this collaboration, science teacher and award-winning author Hadar Fadida invited us to Eshel Hanasi high school to setup a spirulina lab where students learn the art and science of spirulina cultivation.
Hadar and her students have been growing the culture since 2018 using standard Zarrouk medium, and experimenting with things like oxygen saturation, light fluctuation, etc.
Please note: As many students come in daily contact with this culture, one must take precautionary measures to sterilize it before being used for human consumption.
