Live Spirulina culture, also known as the mother culture, is the living cyanobacteria needed to kickstart your spirulina production.

It is always a better idea to acquire your spirulina starter culture from a grower near you.

Spirulina culture can survive a journey of up to 7 days in the post. Depending on the weather, it may arrive in shock, but if you give it some nutrients, light, heat, and agitation, as explained in our guidebooks and webapps, it will quickly recover and revive itself.
